Our Beginning

In 1988, a group of dedicated parents formed ISF with a clear mission: to open an Islamic school starting with kindergarten and first grade, and then add one grade level each year www.islamicservices.org+1bhaprep.org+1 . Their determination led to the opening of Brighter Horizons Academy in 1989 with just 10 students.

Our Growth & Reach

  • Brighter Horizons Academy (BHA) is now the largest full-time accredited Islamic college-preparatory school in Texas and the southern U.S., serving more than 800 students from Pre‑K to grade 12
  • Under ISF’s umbrella, programs now include Little Horizons Academy (early childhood), ISF Qur’an Institute (Hifz), BHA Sunday School, My Islamic Books series, and the Muslim Yellow Pages

Our Goals

Governance & Stewardship

ISF maintains a dedicated board, Shura committee, and endowment board to ensure ethical oversight and alignment with Islamic standards. The endowment follows AAOIFI investment guidelines to guarantee Shariah compliance and sustainable growth.
  • Deliver an education grounded in Islamic principles.
  • Establish and sustain Islamic educational institutions.
  • Promote moral, intellectual, social, and cultural programming.
